Our Commitment

Upstate Roots Studio is committed to ensuring that our website and physical space are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Website Accessibility

We work continuously to improve the accessibility of our website. Our efforts include:

• Providing sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
• Ensuring all images have descriptive alternative text
• Making our site fully navigable by keyboard
• Using clear, readable fonts and scalable text sizes
• Structuring content with proper heading hierarchy for screen readers
• Ensuring all interactive elements are clearly labeled

Physical Space Accessibility

Upstate Roots Studio is located within a historic 1832 cobblestone home. We want to be fully transparent about the physical accessibility of our space:

• Entry into the studio requires climbing three exterior steps
• First-floor rooms are accessible to guests who can manage these exterior steps
• Second-floor rooms require use of an interior staircase and are not accessible to those who cannot safely navigate stairs
• We do not currently have an elevator or ramp due to the historic nature of the building
• Parking is available on-site for up to 12 vehicles, with space close to the entrance

We understand these limitations may present challenges. If you have specific accessibility needs, please reach out before booking so we can do our best to accommodate you and ensure you have a wonderful experience.
